The Richmond Adobe User Group, or RAUG, is Richmond‘s own local group that focuses on Adobe software and the people who use it. We primarily focus on InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat. However, we also work closely with the local Flash Developer‘s User Group (FDUG), so you never know what you‘re going to get!
Since we‘re a brand new group, our history isn‘t very long - so join in on the fun and help us make it up as we go!
Sean Cooke, RAUG Manager - As an Adobe Print Specialist, Sean Cooke
carries the most Adobe instructor certifications in Virginia;
furthermore, he ranks within the top 20 most certified instructors
nationwide. Sean has earned the rank of Adobe Certified Instructor
in Adobe Acrobat 8, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3,
and Adobe InDesign CS3, with an in-depth knowledge of Adobe
Creative Suite 3, QuarkXPress, Adobe Flash CS3 and Adobe Dreamweaver
CS3. He has worked in all aspects of printing, from commercial offset
and screen printing to wide-format digital and vinyl cutting.
Currently, he is TECHEAD‘s Lead Instructor.
Megan Terry, RAUG Co-Manager - As the Training Coordinator at TECHEAD,
Megan manages to spend all day thinking about Adobe and CS3.
With a background in fine arts, her move into the realm of
graphic and web design is fairly recent. She‘s also an AIGA/Richmond
board member and active participant in the Richmond Ad Club.
Jess Burgess, RAUG Secretary/Official Bouncer - As a Recruiter at TECHEAD, Jess remains up-to-speed on area Adobe users, as well as job opportunities utilizing those skill sets and more. Before moving into the role of Recruiter, Jess also assisted the TECHEAD training department. Finding a happy balance between her life at TECHEAD and as a professional modern dancer in Richmond, Jess has learned to incorporate what Adobe knowledge she has acquired into all realms of her life.
